Job summary

Pratt Industries in Wapakoneta, OH is hiring a Maintenance Technician to keep our corrugator lines running safely and efficiently. You will troubleshoot 3-phase power, motors, gear reducers, PLCs and VFDs, and handle hydraulics and pneumatics on a day-to-day basis.

You’ll maintain machinery, perform preventive maintenance, and contribute to a culture of reliability. The role offers a 12-hour night shift schedule and competitive pay with strong benefits.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician at Pratt Industries, you’ll be a key player in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facility. You’ll maintain and repair the machinery that turns recycled paper into corrugated boxes used in everyday products – from pizzas at Domino’s to Amazon deliveries and moving supplies from Home Depot!

What We’re Looking For:

• Required Skills
  • Troubleshooting of 3-Phase power/electricity
  • AC/DC Motors and Motor Starters
  • Gearboxes/Gear Reducers
  • Basic knowledge of PLCs & VFDs
  • Hydraulics and Pneumatic Systems
• Bonus Skills/Experience
  • Experience with electrical instrumentation
  • Ability to troubleshoot logic controllers/VFDs online
  • Knowledge of Boiler/Steam systems
  • Welding/Fabrication skills
  • Conduit Bending & Machining (Lathe, Mill, Press, etc.)
  • Industrial Safety experience

• Physical Demands
  • Regular standing, walking, reaching, and the occasional crawling or kneeling
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs with assistance
  • Specific vision abilities, including close and distance vision, color vision, and depth perception

  • Ability to read a tape measure and apply basic high school-level math
• Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to follow written, oral, or graphic instructions and apply common-sense reasoning
