Job summary

CBRE Maintenance Technician in Schaumburg, IL, maintains small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. This role performs preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure reliable operation and safety.

You will inspect installations for code compliance, assist with installation and modification of equipment, and review work orders with teams to keep systems energy-efficient and compliant.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1–2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do

  • CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The maximum salary for the Maintenance Technician position is $56,160 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
