Job summary

McKesson is seeking a Facilities Specialist to maintain and support our workplace, ensuring safe, functional operations. The role involves hands-on maintenance, coordinating repairs with vendors, and supporting office moves and workspace changes.

Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM. On-site environment with active operations and occasional after-hours support. Strong troubleshooting and record-keeping are essential assets for success.

Qualifications

• Typically, 0–2 years of relevant experience; may have degree or equivalent
• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of facilities maintenance, building maintenance, operations, or related field
• Experience with basic repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or general building systems
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Valid driver's license (if required for the position)
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
• Ability to perform physical tasks (climbing ladders, bending, reaching, kneeling)

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine facility inspections to identify safety or maintenance issues
• Coordinate preventative maintenance and repair work with vendors and contractors
• Respond to employee service requests and resolve facility-related issues

• Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment
• Assist with emergency preparedness activities, including building safety procedures
• Maintain records of maintenance work, service requests, and vendor activities
• Ensure facility operations comply with safety standards and company policies
• Partner with internal teams to support operational needs and workplace projects

The Facilities Specialist helps keep our workplace safe, functional, and running smoothly by performing maintenance tasks, coordinating repairs, and supporting facility operations. What You Will Do

Basic Requirements

• Typically, minimum 0-2 years of relevant experience. May have degree or equivalent

• 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, operations, or a related field

• Experience performing basic repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or general building systems

• Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

• Valid driver's license (if required for the position)

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs

• Ability to perform physical tasks, including climbing ladders, bending, reaching, and kneeling

Preferred Skills / Experience

• Associate degree, trade certification, or vocational training in facilities maintenance or a related field

• Experience coordinating external contractors or vendors

• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills

• Experience maintaining maintenance logs or work order systems

• Customer service experience in a facilities or operations environment

• Experience supporting office relocations or workspace planning

Work Environment

• On‑site role supporting office, warehouse, and operational facilities

• Active work environment requiring movement throughout the facility

• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting

• May work in indoor and outdoor environments depending on facility needs

• Occasional after-hours or emergency support may be required
