Job summary

Georgia-Pacific Milford facility is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform skilled electrical and mechanical maintenance to maximize uptime and meet production goals. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain conveyors, drives, and electrical systems while following safety guidelines and plant procedures.

Two years of industrial maintenance experience is required; a tech degree is preferred. The position includes shift work on 3rd shift with potential overtime and a performance pay

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience with 240/480-volt 3 Phase motors.
• Experience troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes and conveyors.
• Experience with PLC interface pattern control.
• Experience with hydraulic & pneumatic systems.
• Must provide your own metric and standard tools.
• Experience with Computerized Work Order Systems.

This position is an experienced skilled crafts role that creates value by performing a variety of maintenance duties, ensuring maximum facility uptime to meet production goals.

Salary

• Pay ranging from $37.75-$40.50 to start out
• 2nd shift differential is $1.50 per hour / 3rd shift differential is $2.00 per hour
• You will have the ability to increase your compensation based on skills and contribution to the overall performance of the plant.
• This role is eligible for our Performance Pay program that could offer up to a 6% quarterly bonus.

Shift

• Currently hiring for 3rd shift only
• This may include overtime, holidays, and weekends.
• Orientation will be on 1st shift (7am-3pm), and you will be assigned your permanent shift after your orientation.
• Milford operates on a point based attendance program.

Shift Hours

• 1st shift: Monday - Friday 630am-330pm; weekends and overtime as needed
• 2nd shift: Monday - Friday 230pm-1130pm; weekends and overtime as needed
• 3rd shift: Monday - Friday 1030pm-730am; weekends and overtime as needed

We are located directly across the Delaware River from Riegelsville, PA, in a picturesque countryside. We are just 20 minutes from Easton, PA; 20 minutes from Phillipsburg, NJ; 20 minutes from Quakertown, PA; 25 minutes from Bethlehem, PA; and 30 minutes from Doylestown, PA.

What You Will Do

• Helping to meet or exceed production, waste, and quality goals through a quality maintenance program
• Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems and repairing and maintaining all equipment in accordance with plant policies and procedures
• Installing and repairing mechanical drives, chains, sprockets, gears, belts, and couplings
• Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics
• Using hand tools, power tools and precision-measuring devices and testing instruments
• Completing mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance activities

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Two (2) years of industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance experience
• Experience working with 240/480-volt 3 Phase motors
• Experience troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes and conveyors
• Experience with PLC interface pattern control
• Experience working with hydraulic & pneumatic systems
• Must provide your own metric and standard tools, e.g.: socket and wrench sets and Allen T-handles
• Experience with Computerized Work Order Systems

What Will Put You Ahead

• Two (2) year or higher degree in Industrial Technology
• Experience working in the corrugated packaging industry
• Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC)
• Experience reading technical drawings and schematics
• Experience programming PLCs

Other Considerations/Physical Requirements

• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high-volume environment

For this role, we anticipate paying $37.75 per hour. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
