Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing all duties of the Maintenance Mechanic Department accurately, thoroughly, and safely.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical systems to the component level.
  • Understand and repair industrial electrical systems.
  • Install, maintain, and repair equipment to meet production needs.
  • Install services and repair electric motors, heaters, coolers, refrigerators, and related equipment using various tools.
  • Move and replace machinery and auxiliary equipment.
  • Fabricate and assemble test parts as needed.
  • Replace fuses, light bulbs, and other electrical components following specifications.
  • Disassemble and reassemble slicing and packaging equipment.
  • Assist in training as needed.
  • Resolve problems with innovative solutions.
  • Work safely and effectively on various plant facilities.
  • Maintain records and prepare reports on equipment, supplies, and materials.
  • Prepare written reports on projects and equipment conditions.
