Job summary

FEUER Powertrain North America is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain, diagnose, and repair heavy industrial production machinery and facility support systems to ensure safe and efficient manufacturing operations.

This self-starting role emphasizes quick issue resolution and preventative maintenance, updates to tickets and work instructions, and mentoring new employees while complying with OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in heavy industrial maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
• Basic computer skills; MS Office familiarity.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Reliable, self-starting with good ethics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose issues and repair CNC machinery (mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical).
• Inspect and service high-pressure hydraulic pumps, valves, and pneumatics.
• Assemble machine components per instructions and torque specs.
• Perform preventative maintenance on CNC machines and facility systems.
• Fabricate and machine simple components; weld repair of structures.
• Update maintenance tickets with notes daily and PM tracking weekly.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Technician maintains, diagnoses, and repairs heavy industrial production machinery and facility support systems to ensure safe and efficient manufacturing operations. This self-starting role not only responds to and resolves issues quickly but also prevents issue recurrence through regular preventative and predictive maintenance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Diagnose issues and repair CNC machine mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Inspect, service, and rebuild high-pressure hydraulic pumps, valves, pneumatic lines, cylinders, and filtration units.
• Machine component assembly, following all manufacturer instructions and torque values.
• Complete preventative maintenance activities on CNC machines and facility systems.
• Fabricate and machine simple components as needed.
• Weld repair steel machine support structures.
• Update maintenance ticket system with repair notes daily.
• Update preventative maintenance tracking tool weekly.
• Update and write maintenance work instructions and standards
• Train and mentor new employees as needed
• Comply with OSHA standards and procedures for Fall Safety, Confined Space, and Lockout Tagout

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years experience in heavy industrial maintenance
• Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents
• Basic computer skills, familiarity with MS Office
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and recordkeeping skills.
• Reliable and self-starting with a strong ethical and moral basis

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Career or technical certificate in Industrial Maintenance or related field
• Journeyman Electrician or Plumbing license
• Forklift certification
• Experience and / or certifications in HVAC system maintenance and repair
• Experience in automotive or powertrain manufacturing environments
• Experience with Siemens 840D interface

PHYSICAL/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to stand, walk, and wear PPE for extended periods during scheduled shifts
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, grip, and lift up to 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis
• Ability to work with industrial machinery, oils, and coolants in a manufacturing environment
