Job Title: Afternoon/Evening Extrusion Mechanic

Description:

The Afternoon/Evening extrusion mechanic will be responsible for completing maintenance tasks and repairs while contributing to a safe and cost-effective work environment.

Role and Responsibilities:

1. Perform troubleshooting, preventive, and demand maintenance for production lines, including electrical and mechanical repairs. Replace components such as motors and motor drives, pumps, sensors, hydraulics, pneumatics, transmissions, and make adjustments considering quality, tolerances, and order of operations.
2. Work from schedules, work orders, manuals, blueprints, charts, and instructions.
3. Use precision measuring devices (multimeters, calipers, etc.).
4. Maintain, repair, and install a wide variety of machine parts, components, and equipment.
5. Effectively communicate with peers, production associates, and supervision.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of electrical systems and wiring (including 120/480 volts).
• Experience and knowledge of machine operation and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of safe work environment practices and a proven ability to work safely.
• Good attendance record demonstrated through a solid work history.
• Own a set of standard tools.
• Plastic extrusion experience is a plus.

Education and Experience:

• Associate's degree/certificate in a related field or
• Comparable manufacturing experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting at a desk or working on a computer.
• Intermittent crouching, kneeling, working in confined areas, and in varied temperatures and outdoor conditions as necessary to service equipment safely.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
