Job summary

CAHEC Management, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep our Alabama properties safe, clean, and in good working order.

You’ll handle routine maintenance, respond to resident requests, and coordinate with vendors to complete repairs. You’ll inspect units during turns, perform basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repairs, and participate in an after-hours on-call rotation to ensure resident satisfaction and property operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in apartment or facilities maintenance.
• Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repair.
• Ability to read and understand work orders, maintenance instructions, and safety procedures.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.
• Willingness to complete required training and certifications as applicable.

## DescriptionThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping the property safe, clean, and in good working condition. This hands-on role performs routine maintenance, repairs, apartment turns, and preventative maintenance while responding to resident service requests in a timely manner.A typical day includes responding to resident work orders, preparing apartments for new move-ins, inspecting the property, completing maintenance tasks, and working with vendors when needed. The role requires flexibility, problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle unexpected repairs while providing excellent service to residents. The position also participates in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.Success in this role requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently, excellent customer service, and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
