Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining the physical condition, appearance, and operational efficiency of properties, ensuring safety, attractiveness, and resident satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Demonstrate HEROES principles: Helpful, Engaged, Responsive, Outstanding, Excellent, Successful.
  2. Complete resident service requests promptly and accurately.
  3. Perform routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance tasks, keeping logs and records.
  4. Provide excellent customer service to residents and staff, addressing concerns professionally.
  5. Participate in apartment turnovers, including repairs, renovations, and cleaning.
  6. Maintain cleanliness and safety of grounds and community areas.
  7. Assist in landscaping, snow removal, and grounds upkeep.
  8. Guide and train Maintenance Apprentices & Porters.
  9. Comply with policies and safety regulations.
  10. Respond to emergencies appropriately and promptly.
  11. Attend required training sessions and support other communities as needed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum one year of maintenance experience or relevant applicable experience.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and equipment repair.
  • EPA Section 608 Technician Certification (Type II or Universal) or ability to obtain within 90 days.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to read and understand policies, notices, and documentation in English.
  • Positive attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills.
Requirements
  • Provide a basic tool set.
  • Reliable transportation and availability for on-call duties within 30 minutes.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Hourly rate: $22.00 - $24.00, depending on experience.
