Job Details

This role offers a pay range of $26.00/hr, based on experience and skills. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for preventive maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of warehouse facilities and equipment, including conveyor belts, forklifts, and racking systems. The position involves coordinating with external vendors, supporting operational improvements, maintaining a clean work environment, and tracking maintenance costs.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in repairing warehouse equipment such as conveyor belts and forklifts, and maintain racking systems.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for warranty issues and repairs beyond your certification level.
  • Maintain equipment batteries according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Support maintenance projects, operational improvements, and scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure warehouse yard efficiency, including pallet and skid management.
  • Operate equipment like forklifts and floor scrubbers.
  • Report forklift issues promptly to management.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment, following safety protocols like LOTO and PPE usage.
  • Keep logs of all maintenance activities using internal systems.
  • Recommend repairs, rebuilds, or replacements as needed.
  • Meet performance standards for efficiency, accuracy, and quality.
  • Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet departmental goals.
  • Follow company policies and be flexible to support other departments as needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Work involves standing and walking for up to 12 hours/day.
  • Effective communication using speech, vision, and hearing is required.
  • Regular use of hands for grasping and manipulation.
  • Bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching are necessary.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 lbs regularly.
Experience & Education
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment; maintenance experience and forklift certification are preferred but not required.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, or combination of education and experience.
