Responsibilities

Position Summary: Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Worker (2nd shift) is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility machinery and infrastructure. The role involves responding to work orders for manufacturing equipment, performing basic building repairs, and ensuring machinery operates efficiently.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Repair mechanical issues of facility machinery as directed by the maintenance supervisor.
• Follow GMP and food safety standards in a production environment.
• Perform preventative maintenance and mechanical adjustments to improve machinery function.
• Conduct basic building maintenance such as drywall repairs and painting.
• Create and complete daily maintenance work orders.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Perform welding and electrical repairs as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of technical or mechanical experience in food production.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical certification preferred.
• Knowledge of food packaging and sanitary environments.
• Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems.
• Experience with high-speed packaging machinery and PLC controls is a plus.
• Forklift and high-reach certifications are advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs periodically.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
