Position Details:

• Location: Fort Smith Slaughter
• Shift: 2nd Shift SUN-WED 4:00p-- 5:00a
• Pay: $20.00-$27.50/hour based on assessment

Position Summary:

Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, and piping/electrical systems in a commercial or industrial setting. Responsibilities include:

• Visually inspects machinery and support equipment prior to use
• Tests machinery and support equipment after repair and before use
• Troubleshoots inoperable or malfunctioning machinery to identify root cause, listening for unusual sounds, feeling for vibrations, and communicating with users
• Dismantles, repairs, and reassembles machinery and equipment
• Performs preventive maintenance, including cleaning and lubricating parts
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus and piping systems
• Repairs gauges, valves, and other related equipment
• Maintains the physical structure of the establishment
• Operates cutting and welding equipment
• Sets up and operates machine tools for repair or fabrication
• Performs other duties as assigned
