Schedule: Monday‑Friday, 2 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.; Floater must be able to change shift as needed to cover extended vacations/leaves of absences for any shift, including weekends.

Responsibilities

Perform installation and maintenance of proprietary ALPLA equipment (extrusion blow molding machines, stretch blow molding machines, injection molding machines, packaging systems, automated palletizers) and general facility maintenance.

  • Equipment installation and preventative maintenance
    • Install and set up proprietary ALPLA equipment
    • Conduct regular preventive maintenance tasks on machinery to ensure optimal functionality and prolong equipment lifespan
    • Perform minor modifications and adjustments to machinery as needed
  • Predictive maintenance
    • Utilize predictive maintenance methodologies such as condition monitoring and diagnostic tools to identify potential issues
    • Assess equipment health, analyze data trends, and plan maintenance actions accordingly
  • Troubleshooting and repairs
    • Diagnose technical problems and malfunctions in molding machines using systematic approach
    • Collaborate with technical experts and utilize advanced troubleshooting techniques to address complex issues
    • Execute repairs on molding machines independently or with guidance to restore functionality promptly
  • Facility Maintenance Support
    • Contribute to general facility maintenance tasks beyond equipment‑specific responsibilities
    • Assist in maintaining a safe and organized working environment by addressing facility‑related issues
    • Collaborate with facilities team to ensure a well‑maintained production environment
Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • 2‑year technical degree or equivalent experience at ALPLA or similar industry
  • Knowledge of industrial maintenance safety
  • Ability to read basic blueprints and schematics
