Zusammenfassung

Midwestern University Glendale Campus is seeking a Maintenance Technician responsible for the upkeep and repair of campus facilities. You will support multiple departments, perform general trades, and help with events and classroom setups.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, 1-2 years of building maintenance experience, and a valid driver’s license. Evening shift from 3:00pm to 11:30pm; proficiency with MS Office is a plus.

Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of the facilities on Midwestern University Glendale Campus. This individual provides general assistance to all other departments/sections as needed. This position will report to the Lead Building Technician. The hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 3:00pm to 11:30pm.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Installs, maintains and repairs minor plumbing, electrical and structural systems campus-wide.
  • Events and classroom setups such as setting up tables/chairs and opening/closing moveable walls.
  • General maintenance of campus facilities to include:
    • interior and exterior painting work.
    • repair of interior/exterior floors and walls.
  • Installs and removes outdoor signs, parking signs, traffic control barriers and overhead banners as required.
  • Moves furniture, filing cabinets and desks, etc.
  • Operates pick-up trucks.
  • Operates and maintain power and hand tools.
  • Cleans work areas, tools and equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education And/or Experience

High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. One-year certificate from college or technical school desired. 1-2 years of building maintenance required. Must have valid driver’s license is required.

Computer Skills

Computer proficiency in MS Office Word. Excel knowledge is desired.
