Job Summary

Maintenance II employees perform a variety of maintenance tasks on equipment, factory vehicles, and the facility. Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues, assisting in training new employees, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

Essential Functions
  • Communicate verbally with co-workers to ensure safety
  • Follow instructions to complete tasks
  • Lift parts and equipment as needed
  • Review work orders and prioritize tasks
  • Inspect and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and mechanical problems
  • Replace or repair damaged components and equipment
  • Operate cranes, forklifts, tow motors, and other vehicles safely
  • Handle wires and hardware
  • Transport tools and parts throughout the facility
  • Use hand and power tools
  • Report repair statuses to supervisors
  • Communicate via radios with maintenance personnel
  • Possess knowledge in welding, fabrication, and technical equipment
  • Assist with heavy lifting and maintain a clean shop environment
Marginal Functions
  • Enter data into computer systems
  • Disassemble and set up office furniture
  • Assist co-workers and work outdoors in all weather conditions
Basic Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift Certification
  • At least three years of semi-skilled maintenance experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree in Electro Mechanical Technology
  • Previous maintenance experience at Pierce Manufacturing
