Summary

This is a key intermediate level position within our manufacturing facility which produces quality food products for our customers. The Maintenance Technician will conduct machine setup, troubleshoot equipment failures, and perform repair and preventive maintenance services, ensuring all safety procedures are followed.

Additional Compensation
  • Additional $1.50 per hour shift differential for hours worked between 6PM-6AM.
  • Must be flexible for overtime and weekend work.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide emergency troubleshooting and repairs of production equipment during manufacturing, perform scheduled maintenance repairs.
  • Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
  • Repair and maintain HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry troubleshooting and repairs on packaging and production line machines.
  • Read and interpret manuals and work orders; create and modify preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Coordinate repair operations with production supervisors.
  • Ensure equipment runs at proper speeds for throughput and quality.
  • Manage work orders and complete paperwork promptly.
  • Perform cleaning operations and use power tools safely.
  • Inspect equipment and correct deviations.
  • Write reports, including Daily Communication Reports.
  • Follow OSHA, AIB, SQF standards, and company policies; recommend improvements for compliance.
  • Report unsafe conditions and accidents immediately.
  • Evaluate hazards and verify safety measures.
  • Adhere to GMP, PPE, SOP, HACCP, OSHA regulations daily.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Job Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or technical school education.
  • Five years of related experience in an industrial manufacturing maintenance role, preferably in food processing.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to interpret safety rules, manuals, and procedures.
  • Mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and interpreting graphs.
  • Reasoning skills: applying understanding to instructions and problem-solving.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to read work documents in English.
  • Focus on safety and quality standards.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
  • Exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, noise, vibration, and weather elements.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform various movements.
