Job Title: Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Reporting to: Maintenance Manager

Shift:Monday thru Thursday 4pm – 4am

Hourly Range:$34.00 - $39.00 per hour, based on experience.2nd Shift is also eligible for a $1.75 shift differential.

Summary
Responsible for all aspects of machine repair, machine preventive maintenance and building maintenance including general plumbing and electrical repair. The person in this role will be expected to perform a wide variety of maintenance and repair work on production machinery. Good judgment, problem-solving, troubleshooting and initiative are required in making decisions in accordance with established business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Follow company safety policies and procedures including lock out tag out, fall protection etc.
  • Comply with all safety training.
  • Report on safety concerns/recommend safety improvements.
  • Help lead safety initiatives ensuring equipment and facilities are safe for everyone.
  • Repair and maintain all plant equipment, machinery and the facility.
  • Perform preventive and routine maintenance on all plant equipment.
  • Ensure that repairs and/or maintenance that are performed are reliable and meet safety and compliance requirements.
  • Note challenges and obstacles and recommend solutions/equipment updates needed for replacement.
  • Provide accurate record of work completed with all parts & materials used in repairs or preventive maintenance in CMM system.
  • Comply with all regulatory requirements for chemical storage and wastewater safety.
  • Participate in all maintenance projects, snow removal, trash removal and grounds work as needed.
  • Participate in all aspects of cleaning and safety responsibilities for the facilities.
  • Meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Keep the shop clean and organized.
  • Keep the area where you may be working clear of hazards and clean when finished.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude, equipment repair background required
  • Strong troubleshooting background, issue resolution and electro-mechanical aptitude
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work in a team-orientated environment
  • Able to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, able to prioritize tasks, and consistently meet deadlines
