Job description

Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift 3:00PM-1:00AM)

Located in Delavan, Wisconsin, this non-supervisory position oversees the performance and maintenance of Continental Plastic's production machinery to enhance profitability and meet organizational goals. Under the guidance of the Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor, responsibilities include:

  1. Performing duties to assemble, clean, install, maintain, and troubleshoot production machines and equipment.
  2. Troubleshooting to ensure machinery operation by completing scheduled, unscheduled/emergency, and routine preventative maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, hydraulic and other production equipment, following diagrams, manuals, and specifications.
  3. Using root cause analysis to identify issues with inoperative machinery by observing, listening for irregular noises, and using testing instruments.
  4. Maintaining inspection, servicing, and testing schedules, and preparing maintenance reports by analyzing and recording relevant data and trends.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED with at least 2 years of related manufacturing experience, including coursework in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Proficiency in English and familiarity with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook required.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing maintenance processes, local building codes, safety, OSHA regulations, and applicable licensure requirements.
  • Ability to obtain forklift licensure.
  • Strong team-building skills, outcome-oriented mindset, and knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (LEAN).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
