Job summary

Avantor is seeking a Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift) to install, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment and fixtures at our St. Louis, MO location. The role includes troubleshooting, maintaining repair records, and escalating complex issues as needed.

The 2nd shift runs Monday–Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with training on the first shift for the first three months. Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent, with technical school preferred, and at least 3 years of

The Opportunity:

Avantor is seeking a Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift) to install, maintain, and repair manufacturing equipment and fixtures. The Maintenance Technician conducts general maintenance activities primarily on machinery and related equipment, maintains repair and maintenance records, troubleshoots problems and escalates the most complex issues.

This is a full-time position at our St. Louis, MO l ocation.

Work Schedule:

2nd Shift, Monday-Friday 2pm-10:30pm. Will train on first shift for the first 3 months.

• Maintains building electrical system and heating and cooling equipment.
• Performs maintenance or general carpentry on items such as doors, floors, docks, overhead doors, roof downspouts, product racks, materials handling equipment, etc.
• Completes required reports when maintenance tasks are concluded.
• Answers security alarm calls as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent degree. Technical School preferred.

Experience: 3 years applicable direct experience in a similar position. Knowledge of HVAC systems.

Additional Qualifications: Skills in mathematics, personal computers and related applications are vital. Interpersonal and communication skills are important.
