Job summary

Pratt Industries is seeking a maintenance technician to perform required maintenance on the plant’s building, machinery and equipment, and assist other maintenance personnel in mechanical tasks. You will follow safety policies and keep a clean, safe work area.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical and electronic components, completing work orders, maintaining parts inventory, data entry, assisting in training coworkers, and performing other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read mechanical diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Must have a good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Job Description

Overview:

• Performs required maintenance on the plant’s building, machinery and equipment.

• Must be able to read & use a non metric measuring tape
• Must be able to count & perform simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division)

Educational Requirements:

• High School Diploma or higher preferred , but not required
• At least 5 years of experience, or documented training.

Physical Demands:

• The employee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear.
• The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• The employee is occasionally required to sit.
• Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Work space is not climate controlled and can reach both hot and cold extremes (30 degrees – 110 degrees Fahrenheit).
