Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational certificate in welding, maintenance, electrical, etc. preferred.
• Mechanically inclined with manufacturing experience; ability to read schematics/blueprints.
• Good written and verbal communication; multi-lingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and service on manufacturing machines to keep them in optimal condition.
• Identify root causes of breakdowns and repair quickly to reduce downtime.
• Record and report damaged parts, order and install replacements as needed.
• Prepare reports documenting work performed and organize shop areas, tools, and supplies.
• Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance and collaborate on product changes.
• Implement tests and modifications as required; communicate results to product management.
• Wear PPE and follow safety policies to promote a zero-accident culture.

SHIFT DETAILS:Monday-Friday 1:00pm-9:30pmPay Rate-$31.35Benefits available Day OneOn the job trainingPRIMARY FUNCTION: The Maintenance Mechanic performs preventative, maintenance, and repairs of large manufacturing equipment (hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, etc.).RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines, including cleaning, oiling, lubricating, changing belts machinery as necessary to ensure machines are in optimal working conditionIdentify root cause of unexpected breakdowns of machines; repair quickly and efficiently to decrease downtime for machineRecord and report damaged, worn, or broken parts, ordering and installing replacement parts for machines as neededPrepare reports documenting work performed.Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies as neededCoordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.Collaborate with department heads regarding new products being added and modifications that will be requiredMake necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as requiredIdentify opportunities for improvement, present to appropriate leader, and implement, lead or participate in solution implementationWear personal protective equipment (PPE) in all areas where mandatory helping to promote a zero-accident culturePerform additional relevant duties as assignedSUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:None.
