Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Tier 1 Automation Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repair on automated equipment and robots, following machine manuals and company policy. You will inspect, adjust and service guards and safety devices while maintaining a clean, organized work area.

This role requires daily checks of molding processes, PM schedules, and safe operation of automation systems with strong emphasis on food safety and production reliability.

Qualifications

  • Perform preventative maintenance on automated equipment and robots.
  • Inspect and service guards and safety devices on automation equipment.
  • Maintain housekeeping and safety compliance in the work area.
  • Follow ISO/SQF and Food Safety policies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily walk-throughs, monitoring equipment condition and cleanliness in automation areas.
  • Check mold change grid and JDE PM schedules daily.
  • Stop and start automation equipment per Molding Pit Stop schedules.
  • Repair offline and online automation equipment including robots.
  • Collaborate with automation supervisor/technical manager on duties.

  • Check molding grid daily for mold change schedule.
  • Check JDE system daily for scheduled PM's.
  • Pit - stop equipment according to Molding Pit Stop schedule.
  • Perform preventative maintenance duties on all equipment.
  • Mold change set - up and part containment.
  • Bailer trouble shooting and repair.
  • Repair offline and online Automation equipment including Robots.
  • Responsible for maintaining, installing, and or fabricating all guards and safety devices on automated equipment.
  • Maintain high level of housekeeping in and around work area.
  • Perform job requirements in safe and professional manner.
  • Perform any other duties as established by the Automation supervisor and or Technical manager.
  • Understands Importance of Food Safety, ISO/SQF and Plant Safety Policies.
