Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Performs diversified mechanical, electromechanical or electronic technical duties in the fabrication, testing, debugging and documentation of standard assemblies, modules and systems.
2. Performs hands-on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing of industrial automated manufacturing equipment.
3. Documents routine preventive maintenance in SAP PM, records breakdown details and downtime data in applicable spreadsheets.
4. Provides comprehensive, day-to-day oversight of process equipment operations, focusing on data collection, analysis, machine uptime, UPH, and process yields to optimize machines and improve OEE through testing, tuning, and adjustments.
5. Works from written and verbal instructions, utilizing equipment manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints; writes test procedures and interprets test data on standard jobs.
6. Responds promptly to unplanned equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
7. Uses various test equipment to troubleshoot machine malfunctions or product defects; maintains and calibrates test equipment; writes test procedures and interprets test data.
8. Utilizes hand and power tools to fabricate, retrofit, and repair equipment.
9. Creates standard operating procedures and job instructions for maintenance activities and equipment operation.
10. Assists in implementing and maintaining LEAN and 6S process disciplines.
11. May participate in on-call duty, first responder training, and hazardous waste training.
12. Communicates with OEMs and vendors to expedite troubleshooting, repairs, and spare part procurement.
13. Sustains and improves the preventive maintenance program for all manufacturing equipment.
14. Requests new spare parts, manages inventory adjustments, and reports discrepancies.
