Job summary

RadNet, Inc. is seeking a skilled Machine Repair Technician responsible for inspection, installation and repair of production machinery, and for building and rebuilding equipment used in manufacturing and maintenance areas.

This role requires troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and hands-on work with mills, presses, conveyors, lathes, and other shop equipment, plus mentoring junior staff and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Journeyman Machine Repair or Apprenticeship Certificate of Completion.
  • Minimum five years of Machine Repair experience preferred.
  • Advanced in Pneumatics and Hydraulics.
  • Advanced understanding of Robotic controls.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to drive KTMR support.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair production machinery and tools following specified procedures.
  • Troubleshoot, isolate, and repair manufacturing machinery and equipment (mills, presses, conveyors).
  • Safely use hand tools, grinders, torches, lathe, milling machine, drill presses, forklift, and related equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and update maintenance schedules.
  • Complete and manage work orders via Plex system.
  • Engage with outside resources to keep production running.

Job description

Position Summary:
Responsible for inspection, installation and repair of machines used for production and within the tool room and maintenance machining areas. In addition, build and re-build equipment for various manufacturing needs, including but not limited to, the material handling/conveyor and part removal systems, mill drives and press bases.

Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Follow specified maintenance and repair procedures to install, maintain, and repair production machinery and tools.
  • Troubleshoot, isolate and repair manufacturing machinery & equipment, e.g., mills, presses, conveyors, etc.
  • Use the following equipment safely:
    • Hand tools
    • Hand and Surface grinders
    • Wheel Puller
    • Torches
    • Pipe Threader
    • Hydraulic Jacks
    • Welders
    • Scissor Lift
    • Lathe
    • Forklift
    • Milling Machine
    • Drill Presses
  • Work in a safe manner provide constant attention and communication regarding safety concerns to leaders in order to limit unsafe practices throughout the facility.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and provide input on updates to preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Complete and manage work orders via the Plex system.
  • Engage with outside resources as needed to keep production running.
  • Proactively participate in continuous improvement efforts and drive process, tooling, and equipment enhancements that will improve production efficiency and product quality.
  • Help develop specific maintenance and repair procedures to install, maintain, and repair production equipment and tools.
  • Provide direction and coaching to less experienced team members, as well as mentor apprentices as requested.
  • Advanced troubleshooting of both equipment and systems.
  • Advanced understanding of press inspections and ability to interpret drawings.
  • Additional functions, not specifically outlined in this position description, as directed by the supervisor.
