Position Summary

Perform preventative maintenance, mechanical repairs, inspections, and projects to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency. Lead with Kroger’s high-performance principles and uphold our core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair machinery, equipment, structures, and systems in the facility
• Fabricate parts using machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill press, and milling machine
• Troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment to maximize efficiency
• Complete work orders and emergency tasks promptly
• Keep the maintenance area clean and organized
• Use maintenance systems for daily tasks
• Operate material handling equipment safely
• Document work activities
• Support predictive and preventative maintenance programs
• Participate in plant initiatives to minimize downtime and optimize operations
• Perform tasks accurately and safely in a fast-paced environment
• Follow safety and quality policies to meet regulatory standards

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication skills
• Good planning and organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines independently
• Basic computer skills
• Self-motivated and organized
• Dependable and team-oriented
• Strong sense of urgency during downtime
• At least 18 years old
• Proficient in mechanical maintenance, electrical, welding, fabrication, utilities, or PLCs

Preferred Experience and Education

• 2+ years maintenance experience or relevant technical training/certification
• Experience in food manufacturing and knowledge of GMP
