Summary

Possess good knowledge of facilities’ layout and design of systems such as Compressed Air, Chilled Water, Recycled Water, and City Water; Electrical Distribution Panels, Buss Bar Disconnects, and Primary Circuit Breakers.

Responsible for maintaining all equipment across the plant, covering emergency breakdowns and repairs promptly. Must have good electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, along with welding and fabricating abilities. Tasks include lubrication, filter inspection and replacement, oil changes, motor and pump replacements, plumbing, painting, cleaning, and other mechanical/electrical duties as assigned. Must be proficient in using SAP for work orders, tracking labor, and materials. The role also involves maintaining safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform essential tasks as outlined.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform all mechanical and electrical duties required, proactively assessing equipment to prevent downtime.
  • Install and set up barrels and screws on extruders with minimal supervision.
  • Be proficient in tooling and line changeovers.
  • Perform welding, fabrication, repairs, and improvements, including capital projects.
  • Use SAP Maintenance Module software for work orders, labor tracking, and parts management.
  • Maintain high standards for organization and housekeeping.
  • Complete routine assignments independently.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Understand operational elements of the extrusion process.

Education and Experience

High school diploma required, with at least 3 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance or Pipe Extrusion.

Physical Demands

Regularly required to stand, use hands, reach, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, sit, climb, or balance. Must lift/move up to 50 pounds occasionally and frequently. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment

Exposed to moving mechanical parts and electrical hazards, wet/humid conditions, fumes, extreme heat, vibration, and high places. Noise level is usually loud.
