Purpose of the Job

The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing maintenance work to ensure efficient operations, including maintaining, installing, removing, constructing, and repairing facilities and equipment. This role is vital for the continuous improvement of plant performance metrics in safety, productivity, cost, quality, and sustainability. Skills in electrical and mechanical disciplines are required, along with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

Span of Control: None

Shift: Rotating days (4 days 6:45 am - 7 pm; 4 days off)

Pay: $27.68 per hour

Job Responsibilities
  • Adherence to Safety Rules: Follow all safety protocols, including lockout procedures, safety signage, and documentation. Working safely is a condition of employment.
  • Commitment to Safety Standards: Take ownership of safety standards daily, ensuring proper handling of chemicals and safety compliance.
  • Use of PPE: Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
  • Reporting and Accountability: Promptly report safety concerns and incidents, and hold others accountable for safety.
Primary Process Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Complete service requests, maintain, and repair equipment using mechanical, electrical, and related trades.
  • Productivity and Efficiency: Achieve goals, minimize downtime through preventative maintenance, and ensure equipment functionality.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues efficiently using SAP descriptions and orders.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Perform various roles, work with engineering drawings and diagrams.
  • Safety and Standards: Maintain 5S standards, participate in TPM, safety, and housekeeping programs, and work in heights or confined spaces.
  • Goal-Oriented Actions: Prioritize tasks, set goals, and act decisively with urgency.

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to achieve plant goals.
  • Training and Onboarding: Provide maintenance training and assist with onboarding.
  • Problem Solving: Contribute to troubleshooting and utilize engineering support.

Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Mechanical and electrical industrial maintenance experience
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Must be a US citizen or authorized to work in the US
  • Must be drug and alcohol free
Preferred Experience
  • Secondary education in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field
  • Ability to troubleshoot control systems
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proficient in basic computer functions and MS Office
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in teams
  • Competent in mathematical calculations and troubleshooting
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and operate a forklift
  • Excellent welding skills (MIG, Stick, TIG)
  • High aptitude in mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting
  • Champion of 5S and safety practices
  • Ability to read technical prints and documents
  • Willing to work overtime as scheduled
