Job summary

AWI Management Corp. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to care for a 40-unit apartment community in Kalispell, MT. You’ll handle tasks from painting to plumbing, ensuring a safe, well-maintained campus for residents and visitors alike.

The role emphasizes reliability, organization, and resident-focused service, with a full-time schedule and a strong team environment. Housing is not provided, and you’ll work closely with a Property Manager to keep buildings in top condition.

Qualifications

• General building maintenance skills including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
• General groundskeeping and landscaping experience.

Responsibilities

• Completing maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner.
• Performing general maintenance tasks including painting, cleaning, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
• Assisting with preventative maintenance to ensure building systems remain in good working condition.
• Maintaining the grounds and landscaping to support strong curb appeal.
• Assisting with annual apartment inspections and identifying maintenance needs.
• Working with the Property Manager to coordinate vendors and order supplies.
• Maintaining positive relationships with residents, vendors, and staff.
• Reporting lease or house rule violations when observed.
• Responding appropriately to emergency maintenance situations.
• Following company policies and procedures.
