Job summary

QVC Group, Inc. in Ontario, CA is seeking a Facilities Technician 2 to perform maintenance on production equipment, conveyors, and building systems at our onsite fulfillment center.

You will repair conveyors, automate systems, and handle electrical tasks with a basic understanding of AC/DC and voltage meters. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1+ year in mechanical/electrical work, and familiarity with blueprints.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; industrial mechanic trade school courses or certification or equivalent military training.
• 1 year or more experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
• 1 year or more experience with conveyor, automation and sortation system repair.
• Read and comprehend technical manuals; familiar with blueprints and engineering specifications.
• Prefer working knowledge of voltage meter and AC/DC systems.

Responsibilities

• Equipment maintenance: perform planned/unplanned repairs and preventative maintenance on production equipment, PITs, and building equipment.
• Conveyor, automation and sorter systems: repair and maintain conveyors and sortation equipment.
• Electrical: understand AC/DC systems and use a voltage meter; follow lockout/tagout policy.
• System installation and repair: assist with installations of new or replacement equipment.
• Building maintenance: perform general facility repairs (electrical, lighting, HVAC, conveyors).
• Record keeping: input and maintain records in CMMS; read manuals and document changes.

This requires a basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Also, we ask that you have familiarity with AC/DC systems and the ability to use a voltmeter.You will report to the Facilities Area Manager and work onsite in our Ontario, CA fulfillment center.**Where You'll Work**This role is **onsite** and will require you to work from our Ontario Fulfilment Center daily. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.**What You'll Do*** ***Equipment Maintenance*** – Perform planned and unplanned repairs, and preventative maintenance to production-related equipment, Powered Industrial Trucks, and building equipment. Identify and correct safety hazards and potential maintenance issues before they become critical.* ***Conveyor, Automation, and Sorter Systems*** – Support and perform planned and unplanned repairs and preventative maintenance to maintain operation of conveyors and sorter equipment. Help with conveyor, automation and sortation system repairs.* ***Electrical*** – Have a fundamental understanding of AC and DC systems and how to use a voltage meter. Follow lock out/tag out policy.* ***System Installation, Design, Construction and Repair* –** Assist team leaders and contractors to perform installations of new or replacement equipment.* ***Building Maintenance* –** Perform and facilitate general facility repairs such as electrical, lighting, HVAC, & conveyor systems.* ***Record Keeping*** – Input and maintain records using CMMS systems to ensure accuracy of time, parts, and repair data.
