Overview

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and process improvement of mechanical equipment, automated PLCs, robotics, and other computer-controlled equipment used in production.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting for electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems supporting production and non-production equipment.
  2. Manage equipment calibrations, programmable device configurations, and system hardware to resolve maintenance issues and improve reliability.
  3. Enforce maintenance safety requirements.
  4. Coordinate maintenance inventories to maximize storage and prevent stock of seldom-used items.
  5. Develop and manage relationships with outside contractors and vendors.
  6. Perform preventive maintenance, including lubrication of machines.
  7. Work with Maintenance Supervisor to assign work orders.
  8. Generate daily work logs to track work orders and ongoing projects.
  9. Ensure compliance with safety standards.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 10 years of maintenance experience, ideally in a metal fabrication shop
  • Leadership and supervision experience a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and controls of robotic equipment
  • Working knowledge of electrical circuits, PLC troubleshooting, repair, and programming
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical P&ID drawings; operating systems up to 3Ph and 480Vac
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, capable of multitasking
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Technology or related field
  • Experience in a highly technical environment
  • Journeyman certification, especially in electrical, heating, plumbing, hydraulics, or pneumatics

Compensation: $7.24 - $7.25
