Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East in Berlin, CT is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 1st shift (Mon–Fri). The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance of manufacturing equipment, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and keeping production running safely and efficiently.

You will inspect machinery, read schematics, use diagnostic tools, and work with maintenance and production teams.

Qualifications

• Previous experience performing maintenance on manufacturing or industrial machinery.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, pumps, bearings, belts, chains, sensors, or industrial controls.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, or equipment manuals.
• Ability to use common maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as with a production/maintenance team.
• Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of a manufacturing maintenance position.
• Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery and facility equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other equipment issues.
• Diagnose equipment problems and make repairs to minimize production downtime.
• Inspect machinery and identify potential issues before they become major breakdowns.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and document completed work.
• Repair, replace, and adjust mechanical components such as bearings, belts, chains, motors, pumps, and related components.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical components, controls, sensors, and wiring.
• Work with production personnel to respond to equipment problems and restore machinery to operation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
• Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and continuous-improvement projects as needed.
