Job Summary

Maintenance II employees perform maintenance on equipment, factory vehicles, and facilities. Responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues, assisting in training new staff, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment.

Essential Functions
  • Communicate verbally to maintain safety
  • Follow instructions to complete tasks
  • Lift parts and equipment
  • Review work orders and prioritize tasks
  • Inspect and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, and mechanical problems
  • Replace or repair components and equipment
  • Operate cranes, forklifts, tow motors, and other vehicles safely
  • Handle wires and hardware
  • Transport tools and parts within the facility
  • Use hand and power tools
  • Report repair statuses
  • Communicate via radios with maintenance team
  • Possess welding, metal fabrication, or technical skills
  • Assist with heavy lifting
  • Maintain cleanliness of shop areas
  • Work hours as scheduled, with good attendance
  • Work overtime as needed
Marginal Work Functions
  • Data entry, office setup, and other tasks as required
  • Assist with forklift repairs and training
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift Certification
  • Minimum of three years semi-skilled maintenance experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology
  • Previous maintenance experience at Pierce
