Job summary

ABM Industries is seeking a maintenance technician for 1st shift (6:00 am–2:30 pm, Monday–Friday) in Michigan. The role includes preventive and reactive maintenance across conveyors, mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical and carpentry tasks.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older.
A valid State Driver's License is required.
Basic knowledge of power tools and hand tools.
Recognize various hardware parts and repair methods.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work unsupervised.
Customer service experience is desirable.
2–3 years of similar work experience.

Responsibilities

Performs preventive and reactive maintenance on conveyors, mechanical, plumbing, instrumentation, and related equipment.
Maintains and repairs all equipment and facilities as needed.
Responds to spills and emergencies and performs required tasks.
Performs landscaping tasks such as hedge trimming and trash pickup.
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and painting tasks.
