Pete & Gerry's Organics, LLC is looking for a Maintenance Technician to oversee the building and systems, performing maintenance, inspections, and repairs. Join a team committed to animal welfare, food safety, and planet-friendly farming.

You will work on preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safety policies are followed while supporting continuous improvement and collaboration with teammates and customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Industrial equipment experience preferred.
• Food processing experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of electricity and electrical wiring.
• Ability to obtain Fork Truck certification.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of SQF and GMPs preferred.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Good vision (20/20) with/without correction.

Responsabilités

• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment and facilities.
• Routine inspections of machinery and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair down production and building equipment.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and organization of all work areas.
• Adhere to SQF and GMP standards.
• Report incidents or potential noncompliance to QA or supervisor.

The Role At a Glance

The Maintenance Technician is the primary, hands-on caretaker of the building and its systems. This role is responsible for performing installation, troubleshooting, maintenance repairs, and scheduled preventative maintenance for the facility, including equipment, machinery, and building infrastructure.

• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment and facilities
• Routine inspections of machinery and equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair down production and building equipment
• Ensure constant adherence with all company, state, and OSHA safety policies and procedures
• Maintain proper housekeeping and organization of all work areas
• Ensure strict adherence with SQF (Safe Quality Food) code and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines and standards
• Maintain facility to state and OSHA standards
• Immediately report all incidents or potential noncompliance regarding quality assurance or food safety to the Quality Assurance Manager or appropriate department supervisor/manager

• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing
• Comfortable using hands and arms for reaching and repetitive motions
• Vocational or technical degree/certificate preferred

Work Schedule & Hours

• Day Shift
• Monday - Friday
• Shifts up to 8 - 12 hours per day, based on operational needs
• Start and end times may vary due to truck arrivals, order fulfillment, machine downtime, or production changes
• Flexibility required to adjust schedule as needed
