Job summary

Carolina Container LLC is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment. You will read manuals, set equipment for optimum performance, and conduct preventive maintenance to ensure reliable operations.

The role requires 4+ years in manufacturing with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, PLC experience and HVAC, along with a flexible schedule in a fast-paced corrugated plant environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with craft apprenticeship or equivalent production maintenance experience.
• Minimum 4 years of manufacturing experience with strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical skills and some PLC experience and HVAC.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in the corrugated industry.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
• Demonstrate the ability to parallel all roles, adjust settings for optimum performance, and manufacture quality products.
• Troubleshoot programmable controllers and troubleshoot and repair AC/DC drives and control systems.
• Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs and conduct scheduled maintenance during machine service.
• Maximize equipment utilization by keeping machinery running at capacity and speed.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders for maintenance tasks.
• Use hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in duties.
• Handle special projects as needed and adapt to changing responsibilities.

SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
• Demonstrate ability to parallel all rolls, make all required settings and adjustments for optimum equipment performance to manufacture quality products.
• Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot programmable controllers and troubleshoot and repair all A/C and D/C drives and their control systems use.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Maximize the utilization of equipment by maintaining the machinery to run at available capacity and speed.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Special projects as business dictate.
• Duties may be expanded upon and additional duties may be assigned.
