Job summary

Midland Plastics, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance/Facilities Technician in Green Bay to support production by keeping machinery and plant facilities in top condition. You will perform preventive maintenance, basic repairs, and safety-focused housekeeping to sustain reliable operations.

The role involves hands-on work with CNC machines, HVAC, pneumatic and electrical systems, and coordination with teams to minimize downtime while maintaining a safe facility. This is an on-site position in Green Bay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical maintenance degree a plus.
• Experience in industrial maintenance and equipment troubleshooting preferred.
• Hands-on experience with CNC machines and electrical, pneumatic, and HVAC systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to maximize uptime and equipment life.
• Carry out basic repairs to machinery and components, including CNC machines, forklifts, air filters, and electrical components.
• Handle emergency custodial duties and maintain a clean, organized work environment in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Assist with building and grounds maintenance, including lighting, data relocation, and basic electrical tasks.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers to ensure timely repairs and minimal downtime.

Overview

The Maintenance/Facilities Technician performs various duties in and around the facility to ensure production and mechanical equipment are kept in good working order and that the building and grounds are maintained in a safe and professional manner.

• Performs preventive maintenance on manufacturing machinery to maximize operating performance and life of equipment
• Performs basic repairs to machinery and equipment, including CNC machines, forklifts, table routers, air filters, pneumatic equipment, heater controls, electric motors, air compressors, blow guns, and hand tools
• Performs emergency custodial duties, including clearing clogs, repairing leaks, and clean-up
• Maintains supplies for building and grounds and restrooms and ensures supplies are stocked and available for use
• Performs building-related duties, including chair and furniture assembly, partition and wall assembly/disassembly, changing lightbulbs, electrical work, and data relocation (running cables occasionally)
• Performs building and grounds duties, including snow removal and salting operations on sidewalks and building entrances, as well as grass/shrub watering and care if needed
• Maintains stock of safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap, and hand sanitizer; refills these supplies needed
• Picks up supplies at local stores as needed
• Works in cooperative manner with internal and external customers
• Maintains clean, organized working environment in accordance with safe housekeeping requirements
• Applies knowledge and makes recommendations for improvements
• Performs other duties as assigned by proper authority

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, technical degree in industrial maintenance is a plus
• 3 years minimum of industrial maintenance technician experience or related work
• Hands-on experience with CNC machine troubleshoots and repair is a plus
• Experience in troubleshooting machinery with exposure to HVAC, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Experience maintaining and repairing buildings and grounds as well as performing routine maintenance
• Able to identify issues and coordinate with appropriate outside contractors for timely repairs as needed
• Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety
