Job summary

Generac is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a 1st shift on-site role in Wisconsin. The technician will perform HVAC maintenance, preventive maintenance, and general facilities work including equipment testing and repairs, while coordinating with facilities staff.

Responsibilities include HVAC inspections, painting, moving office furniture, landscaping, snow removal, and daily repair tasks. A High School diploma or GED and 3–5 years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience building/facilities maintenance, maintaining industrial equipment, automation or product repair.
• HVAC equipment inspections/PMs, filter changes, belt changes.
• Must be able to lift up to 25–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• General facilities repairs such as painting, wallpaper repair, bathroom fixture repairs.
• HVAC equipment inspections and preventive maintenance; filter and belt changes.
• Water testing—training provided and conducted.
• Office furniture moving and disposal as needed.
• Facility cleaning inside and outside; trash and recycle management.
• Snow removal and lawn care (grass trimming, landscaping).
• Parking lot cleaning and maintenance.
• Painting, cleaning and prep work for maintenance tasks.

1st Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Job Location: W236N1402 Busse Rd, Waukesha, WI 53188

The Maintenance Technician is expected to perform HVAC emergency, routine, and preventive maintenance including changing filters and belts while maintaining safety, communicating effectively, and training employees. Responsible for equipment testing, daily problem solving, preventive maintenance, quick fix and repairs, fill in for facilities personnel, moving office or conference room furniture, rooftop units, overhead doors, and assisting other facilities maintenance functions as needed.

• General facilities repairs, such as painting, wallpaper repair, bathroom fixture repairs
• HVAC equipment inspections/PM's, filter changes, belt changes, most other work will be outsourced
• Water testing - will train on procedure
• Office furniture moving and disposal
• Facility cleaning both inside and outside
• Trash and recycle removal and management
• Snow removal
• Grass cutting, trimming, and cleanup
• Landscaping
• Parking lot cleaning
• Painting including cleaning and prepping
