Howmet Aerospace Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Ohio to support two sites in Cleveland and Brecksville. You will disassemble machines, replace parts, and troubleshoot hydraulic systems while maintaining safety and efficiency on the factory floor.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble machines and remove parts for replacement or repair.
• Examine broken parts and identify defects or advise on repairs.
• Replace, fix, or realign machine parts and accessories per specifications.
• Reassemble machines after maintenance work.
• Assist other maintenance team members and production staff as needed.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work environment.
• Demonstrate understanding of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting with schematics.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Locations: 3960 S. Marginal Rd. Cleveland, OH 44114 (primary)

Must be willing to support our Brecksville location also (10147 Brecksville Rd. Brecksville, OH 44141)

Salary: $30-40/hr (actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, and/or location).

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician position is accountable for:

• Disassemble machines and take off parts for replacement or repair by using cranes, hoists, chain falls, hand tools, and jacks.
• Examine or carry out tasks on broken machine parts and identify defective parts or give recommendations to supervisors on repair requirements.
• Replace, fix, or realign machine parts and accessories in line with production specifications.
• Put machine parts together after accomplishing maintenance and repair work.
• Assists other maintenance team members in meeting department requirements while serving as a resource to production, engineering, and other plant personnel. Other individual maintenance craft knowledge considered a plus.
• Work independently with little supervision.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Exhibit outstanding ability to learn and comprehend the fundamentals of the functioning machines.
• Excellent general understanding of hydraulic systems with display of mastery in troubleshooting by utilizing deductive reasoning and schematics

Perform other duties as assigned.

While not exposed to hazardous materials, this position requires wearing PPE (personal protection equipment). Following all basic safety precautions will reduce risk of potential injury. This position requires anywhere from light to moderate physical activity, such as walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time, as well as some lifting.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) from an accredited institution (Required)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Electrical controls awareness a plus.
• Knowledge of machine mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, blueprint reading, (welding and fabrication a plus) operation of machine tools used to make, modify and/or repair machine components.
• Experienced and knowledge in maintaining and repairinginjection presses.
• 3+ years previous manufacturing experience
• Journeyman's Card is preferred

Ability to effectively work AND communicate as part of a cell team
