Merit Brass is seeking a Maintenance Technician at our Richmond Heights, OH location to troubleshoot, repair, and improve equipment for safe, efficient operations.

Ideal candidates have 3 years of maintenance experience with mechanical/electrical/pneumatic systems, read blueprints, and follow OSHA standards. This role requires teamwork, reliability, and the ability to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of maintenance experience, mechanical/electrical/pneumatic preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards for maintenance.
• Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and schematics.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, crane, forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment: mechanical, electrical, pneumatic.
• Support proactive, preventative maintenance activity.
• Assist in changeovers and setups.
• Log usage for critical spares and tooling orders.
• Support equipment installation and relocation.
• Participate in process improvement projects/teams.
• Occasional travel for site visits and trials.
• Comply with PPE and safety rules.

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Richmond Heights, OH location. This hands‑on role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and improving equipment and facilities to support safe and efficient operations. Objectives

• Support Manufacturing goals for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost
• Achieve machine availability targets through active troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
• Support process improvements and participate in Kaizen project teams
• Position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment: mechanical, electrical, pneumatic
• Support proactive, preventative maintenance activity
• Assist in changeovers and setups
• Support critical spares and tooling orders by logging usage
• Support equipment installation and relocation
• Participate in process improvement projects/teams
• Occasionally travel for site visits to support new equipment runoffs or trials
• Compliance with PPE and safety rules for work assignments

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED Required
• 3 years of maintenance experience: preferably with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatics
• Strong work habits: punctuality, attendance, work ethic, professionalism, communication
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards for Maintenance
• Ability to work individually and with others to continually improve our company
• Ability to read and use blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings
• Ability to use hand tools, measurement tools, power tools, crane, forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift
• Ability to stand, reach, and bend. Able to push and pull bulky material for the entire shift and capable of lifting 50-70 lbs. frequently
• Willingness and ability to work overtime as dictated by business needs
