Job summary

Management Services Corporation (MSC) is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Charlottesville properties. The role involves preventive maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs to keep buildings in good condition.

A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered, with typical hours Mon–Fri 8:30 AM–5 PM and potential on-call rotation for extra pay. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of apartment maintenance experience, and the ability to obtain a CFC

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of apartment maintenance experience.
• Ability to obtain a CFC card or HVAC training.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure building systems operate efficiently.
• Repair carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical as needed.
• Carry out general maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Complete required paperwork daily.
• Communicate with supervisors clearly and promptly.
• Handle phone usage and public relations.
• Travel using personal vehicle as needed.
• Use of own tools required.
