Overview

Alamance Foods is a leading manufacturer of aerosol whipped cream, flavored drinks, freeze pops, and bottled water, producing, packing and shipping private labels based on customer needs.

The Maintenance A/B (Maintenance tech A or B) plays a critical role in supporting the maintenance, reliability, and efficiency of Alamance Foods' production operations. This position is the first line of contact for performing troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a wide range of high-speed food and beverage manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance procedures on production and utility equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic issues
• Repair or replace defective components, including motors, belts, bearings, sensors, and control systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems and basic automation equipment
• Assist in equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications
• Accurately document maintenance activities in daily logs and the MicroMain CMMS system
• Ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, OSHA, and Alamance Foods safety standards
• Identify required replacement parts and maintain spare parts inventory
• Coach others in troubleshooting, repair and PMs
• Communicate with Production Line supervisor and Maintenance supervisor to prioritize When Down Due work
• Escalate DT issues greater than 30 minutes to Maintenance Supervisor
• KPI: Site PR >75%, Site Line DT <100 min, Site Work Order <14 days, Site PM >85%

Qualifications

Education/Training/Certifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• Advanced understanding of AC/DC motors, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical drive systems
• Basic computer literacy

Related Experience:

• 3–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

• Working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems (480Vac, 220vac, 110vac, 24vdc), and basic PLC troubleshooting
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics
