Maintenance Technician - 10hr Evening & Overnight Shift

Job Overview

As part of a farmer-owned cooperative, we honor the dedication of farming families, many of whom have operated for over a century. We take pride in producing healthy dairy products like milk, yogurt, and cheese, marketed under various brands including Upstate Farms, Bison, Milk for Life, and Intense Milk.

Position Details

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for repairing and troubleshooting high-speed processing and packaging equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and installing systems within a 24/7 dairy processing facility. The work schedule is a 10-hour shift, rotating days, from 2:00 pm - 12:30 am or 10:00 pm - 8:30 am. Multiple openings are available.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electronic systems.
• Support production efficiency and safety practices.
• Perform preventative maintenance and replace defective parts.
• Adjust and repair control instruments and electrical equipment.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams using strong communication skills.
• Experience with boiler operation and ammonia systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from a technical school or one year of mechanical maintenance experience.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Completion of Maintenance Skills Evaluation.

Work Environment

Exposure to moving parts, electrical hazards, humid conditions, high places, chemicals, extreme temperatures, and loud noise levels.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly rate: $26.23 - $36.23, with additional benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and holidays.
