Dotson is seeking a maintenance technician to apply electrical and mechanical skills to help meet production goals. You will troubleshoot basic electrical and mechanical issues, wire single-phase and 3-phase systems, and assist with facility maintenance alongside the PM crew.

Candidates typically have 2+ years' experience or a technical school accreditation, with strong safety discipline and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Qualifications

• Accreditation from a technical school or skilled trades program or believed equivalent.
• Ability to read work instructions and follow directions.
• Basic to intermediate communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide basic technical assistance and resolution for electrical or engineering problems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues with team.
• Wire and troubleshoot single-phase and 3-phase power supplies and motors.
• Perform daily oil and lubricant checks on machinery and assist with maintenance.
• Complete documents accurately and follow safety, environmental, and quality policies.

Job Duties

• Provide basic technical assistance and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are encountered before, during and after construction.
• Will work with team to trouble shoot mechanical and basic electrical problems.
• Will work with fabrication and project crew when needed.
• Will wire and trouble shoot single phase as well as 3 phase power supplies and motors.
• Will be responsible for helping in all facility and building maintenance.
• Will work with the PM crew if needed.
• Will conduct daily oil and lube checks on machinery as needed.
• Will work with senior techs daily to learn and understand more complex electrical issues.
• Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately.
• Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
• Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Will work scheduled overtime as needed.

Experience and Education

• Perform work under direct supervision.
• Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Possess beginning to work knowledge of subject matter.
• Typically require accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program or 2+ years of experience.
