Now offering a $1,500 Hiring Bonus! $750 payable 30 days after employment and $750 payable at 90 days of employment.

Become part of our team at Stewarts Ferry Apartments, a 614-unit community managed by Fogelman, located off Stewarts Ferry in Nashville. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of apartment maintenance experience and HVAC certification (required). On-call duty is every 5th weekend.

Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing maintenance service requests and repairs to the buildings and grounds, providing excellent customer service to residents, under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete all assigned service requests.
• Complete make-ready units efficiently.
• Maintain inventory and care of supplies and equipment.
• Provide personal tools required for the job.
• Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean.
• Assist with preventive maintenance projects.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the Service Director.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies.
• Communicate positively with residents, vendors, and team members.
• Follow safety policies and company procedures, including Fair Housing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

• At least 3 years of apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• HVAC certification (Type 1 & 2 or Universal) required.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred.
• Proficient in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and appliance repair.
• Computer skills and familiarity with property management software like Yardi, Entrata, and HappyCo preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance may be required depending on the property.

Environmental and Physical Demands

Must meet the physical requirements, including walking, standing, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working indoors and outdoors. Reasonable accommodations can be provided for disabilities.
