We are now offering a $1,250 Hiring Bonus plus a Summer Incentive Program that includes extra time off beyond PTO!

Join our team at The Parq at Chesterfield Apartments to start your career with Fogelman. This 345-unit community is located in Chesterfield, St. Louis. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of apartment maintenance experience, experience with new builds, HVAC certification (Type 1 & 2 or Universal), and strong skills in HVAC, plumbing, and appliance repair.

Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing maintenance requests and repairs for the buildings and grounds, providing excellent customer service to residents, under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Complete all assigned service requests.
2. Ensure all make-ready units are prepared.
3. Maintain and inventory all supplies and equipment.
4. Provide personal tools required for the job.
5. Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean.
6. Assist in preventive maintenance projects.
7. Escalate unresolved issues to the Service Director.
8. Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency calls.
9. Communicate positively with residents, vendors, and team members.
10. Follow safety policies at all times.
11. Adhere to all company policies, including safety and Fair Housing regulations.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

1. At least 3 years of apartment maintenance experience preferred.
2. HVAC certification (Type 1 & 2 or Universal).
3. Certified Pool Operator (CPO) preferred.
4. Proficiency in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and appliance repair.
5. Computer skills and familiarity with online applications.
6. Knowledge of property systems like Yardi, Entrata, and HappyCo preferred.
7. Valid driver’s license and insurance may be required depending on the property.

Environmental and Physical Demands

The role requires constant walking, standing, and sitting; climbing stairs; bending, kneeling, crawling, squatting, pushing/pulling, and reaching. The job involves lifting up to 50 lbs frequently and more occasionally, with strong hand and finger dexterity. Work conditions include indoors and outdoors, with exposure to weather, mechanical parts, heights, chemicals, and noise. Reasonable accommodations are available for disabilities.
