Hayward Industries, Inc. seeks an entry-level Maintenance Mechanic in Clemmons, NC. The role involves on-the-job training in maintaining blow molding and injection molding machines, along with general building maintenance responsibilities.
Qualifications include an Associate’s Degree and two to four years of relevant experience. Applicants should possess strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment as well as being proficient in safety protocols.
This is the entry‑level classification in the Maintenance Mechanic series. Employees in this classification receive on‑the‑job training experience in the maintenance of blow molding/injection molding machines along with its ancillary equipment. The Facilities Maintenance Tech will also be responsible for general building maintenance tasks as indicated below.
Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit and reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, in high, precarious places, in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Safety glasses are required when working on equipment.
