Job summary

Gemini Group, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for an off‑shift to service and repair facility machinery, conveyors, grinders, and related equipment.

The role emphasizes preventative maintenance and adherence to safety protocols within a manufacturing environment. You will diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues, interpret blueprints, and work with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

  • High School or Trade School diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems (480VAC, 230VAC, 115VAC, and 24VDC)
  • Journeyman level maintenance skills and ability to read blueprints (as needed)

Responsibilities

  • Promotes safety awareness and enforces safety rules to minimize injuries
  • Perform preventive/predictive maintenance on equipment and conveyors
  • Perform skilled hydraulic, electrical, and plumbing assignments
  • Calibrate machine temperature controllers and heaters
  • Repair and monitor motors, compressors, heaters, blowers, and pumps
  • Install and integrate new machinery and equipment
  • Interpret blueprints and coordinate with Plant/Maintenance Manager
  • Support production, engineering, and R&D departments
  • Maintain task records and paperwork
  • Follow 6S and Kaizen practices; adhere to IATF and EMS policies
  • Attend training courses as scheduled
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Manager

Status:

Full Time/Hourly Non-Exempt (40 hrs. /week; additional hours as needed to support company and individual goals)

Knowledge of plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical (480VAC, 230VAC, 115VAC, and 24VDC)

Job Summary

To maintain with limited supervision and execute all procedures for machinery and secondary equipment within the facility involving improvements, repairs and preventative/predictive maintenance goals. General facility maintenance including outdoor identities and miscellaneous maintenance projects assigned. This job classification requires a journeyman level of skill and training in the maintenance and repair functions as assigned.

Essential Job Functions
  • Promotes safety awareness, educates, and enforces all safety rules throughout the facility with the goal set at zero facility related injuries.
  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly preventive/predictive maintenance to ensure that safety related items are functioning properly, as well as all facility equipment as scheduled and assigned, including ½ pound to 30-pound blow molding machines, conveyors, grinders, etc..
  • Perform skilled hydraulic, electrical, and plumbing assignments.
  • Calibrate all machine head and extruder temperature controllers which run all heater bands of the machines.
  • Perform major repairs to and monitors services to motors, compressors, heaters, blowers, and pumps.
  • Install, set up, and integrate new machinery and equipment such as material handling systems, PLC control units, etc.
  • Works from and interprets blueprints as they apply to assigned projects; reviews their specifications with the Plant and Maintenance Manager.
  • Support the production, engineering and R & D departments.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork and computer data. Maintains records of tasks completed.
  • Follow the required 6S standards at all times, work on continuous improvement activities and Kaizen events as assigned, and follow all IATF and EMS Policies and procedures.
  • Attend any onsite/offsite training courses as scheduled and provided.
  • Additional duties as assigned by Manager.
