Job summary

MilliporeSigma in the United States is seeking a hands-on technician to maintain production equipment, ensuring optimal operation and uptime. You will participate in process improvements and capital projects to enhance capabilities, diagnose and repair electrical and pneumatic controls, and provide on-call support as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC, and ability to read drawings and P&IDs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC.
• Ability to work independently is preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical and pneumatic controls; reading drawings and P&ID's.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine maintenance on production equipment, ensuring optimal operational efficiency.
• Actively participate in process improvement initiatives and capital projects to enhance production capabilities.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues with diverse machine equipment, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
• Provide occasional on-call support to address urgent equipment or process-related issues outside of standard work hours.
• Demonstrate the ability to manage and prioritize a variety of tasks effectively, adapting to changing production demands.

Your Role

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED
• 2+ years of experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to work independently.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical controls, including PLC's.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic controls.
• Ability to read and understand drawings and P&ID's.
• Strong Teamwork and interpersonal skills.

RSREMD

Pay Range for this position: $24.00 - $37.00

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
