Job summary

United Future in Wooster, OH is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. You will maintain and repair equipment used in transforming sheet metal into HVAC components on the production floor and in maintenance areas.

The role requires hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, adherence to safety rules, and the ability to troubleshoot and respond to emergencies. Forklift certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; craft apprenticeship preferred.
• Associates degree in M/E/Industrial Maintenance is advantageous.
• 3+ years in manufacturing equipment maintenance with pneumatics and hydraulics.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill maintenance work orders and preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment and facilities.
• Install and maintain production machines and plant equipment.
• Perform emergency and scheduled maintenance on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair and optimize mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose issues, replace components and adjust machinery/workstations.
• Identify faulty operations or defective materials and report for action.

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is integral in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will work on the production floor and maintenance areas, focusing on maintaining and repairing equipment used in the transformation of sheet metal into HVAC components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fulfill maintenance work orders and conduct preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities.
• Install and maintain production machines and plant equipment.
• Perform both emergency and scheduled maintenance repairs on production equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and enhance mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose issues, replace or repair components, and adjust machinery and workstations.
• Identify faulty operations or defective materials and report them for further action.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Adherence to safety regulations and ability to maintain a clean work environment.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in documenting maintenance work and repairs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work extended hours and different shifts as necessary.
• Ability to respond promptly to equipment and building emergencies.
• Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets in a manufacturing context.
• Forklift certification is required.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED is required; completion of a craft apprenticeship is preferred.
• An Associate's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance is advantageous.
• At least three years of experience in manufacturing equipment maintenance, with knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Experience in HVAC systems is considered a plus.
