Accelera in Wisconsin Rapids is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to identify, fix, and service production assets and to execute proactive maintenance that boosts equipment longevity and minimizes unexpected halts.

The ideal candidate has a GED or high school diploma, at least five years of industrial experience with a Journeyman card or active apprenticeship, and proven ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, plus PLC troubleshooting

Qualifications

  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Understand pneumatic and hydraulic system operations.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot PLC systems and industrial controls.
  • Hands-on fabrication and welding experience.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, fix, and service production and manufacturing assets.
  • Execute proactive maintenance to boost longevity and minimize downtime.
  • Analyze and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control issues.
  • Inspect machinery for wear and parts needing replacement.
  • Restore or swap pumps, valves, motors, bearings, gears, belts, and sensors.
  • Troubleshoot industrial machinery, circuits, motors, and control units.
  • Use manuals and diagrams to guide repair work and installations.
  • Modify and install equipment; assist with startup/shutdown procedures.
  • Provide rapid responses to maintenance requests to keep production moving.

Job description

Compensation:

$44 to $48 per hour.

Schedule:

1st Shift.

Core Duties:
  • Identify, fix, and service various production and manufacturing assets.
  • Execute proactive and predictive maintenance strategies to boost equipment longevity and minimize unexpected operational halts.
  • Analyze and resolve problems involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems.
  • Examine machinery to detect parts that are damaged, worn out, or failing.
  • Restore or swap out essential parts like pumps, valves, motors, bearings, chains, gears, belts, and sensors.
  • Resolve issues with industrial machinery, electrical circuits, motors, and control units.
  • Utilize technical manuals, mechanical blueprints, and electrical diagrams to guide repair work.
  • Execute necessary modifications, alignments, and installations for production equipment.
  • Support the team by assisting with scheduled maintenance tasks and equipment startup or shutdown procedures.
  • Provide rapid responses to maintenance requests and equipment failures to keep production moving smoothly.
Required Background:
  • Completion of a GED, high school diploma, or relevant technical coursework.
  • At least five years of experience in an industrial setting, paired with a Journeyman card or active enrollment in an apprenticeship program.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Practical understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic system operations.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot PLC systems.
  • Background working with industrial control systems, VFDs, sensors, and motor controls.
  • Hands-on experience with fabrication and welding techniques.
